Midland Metrology Limited was established in 1988 and has continued to support UK industry with practical measurement, inspection and calibration solutions for more than three decades.
Today, the business operates from a 4,000 sq. ft. industrial facility in Coventry, incorporating a showroom, temperature-controlled calibration laboratory, dedicated inspection room and storage facility housing a wide range of metrology, inspection, test and calibration equipment.
Alongside supplying new equipment, Midland Metrology Limited also supports customers with used inspection equipment, calibration services, servicing, technical advice and application support across a wide range of engineering and manufacturing environments.
Midland Metrology Limited was founded by Bob Coles following a technical apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce Aero Engines and later experience as a technical sales engineer with Swedish metrology manufacturer C.E. Johansson, pioneers of the precision slip gauge.
Bob built the company around practical engineering knowledge, technical support and long-term customer relationships — principles that continue to shape the business today.
Following Bob’s passing in 2019, the family business continues to support customers across the UK with the same commitment to service, technical expertise and practical measurement support.
